SEO Page Audit

Drop in one page and the keyword you want it to rank for — a targeted on-page audit, not a full-site crawl. You get a scorecard, readability + content breakdown, and a plain-English fix-these-first list — the answers, not a spreadsheet.

What this SEO audit checks

Search engines (and AI answer engines) decide what your page is about from a handful of on-page signals. Most maker product pages and listings leave easy points on the table. The audit checks the ones that move the needle:

Frequently asked questions

What is an SEO page audit?
An SEO page audit checks how well a single page is set up to rank for a keyword — your title tag, meta description, headings, keyword usage, readability, image alt text, and links. This free tool runs all of those checks and hands you a prioritized, plain-English fix list instead of raw data.
Does this audit my whole website?
No — it’s a targeted single-page audit: one page, one keyword. It’s the fast way to fix a specific product page, listing, or blog post. For a full marketing + UX review of your whole shop — strategy, sales psychology, before/after copy rewrites, and a prioritized plan — that’s the deeper marketing audit Hub members get (preview below).
Is this SEO audit tool really free?
Yes — completely free, no account needed, run as many pages as you like. Maker Growth Hub members can also run it right inside Discord with /audit.
Will it work for my Etsy, Shopify, or Squarespace page?
Yes — paste any public product page, listing, or blog URL. If a platform blocks automated checkers (some marketplaces do), use the "paste your page source" option: open the page, View Page Source, copy it all, and paste it in.
What keyword should I target?
Pick the exact phrase a buyer would type to find your product — specific beats broad ("engraved walnut cutting board" over "gifts"). Then use it in your title, the first 100 words, one heading, and naturally through the page. More on choosing keywords in the AI stack for a maker business.
What is a good keyword density?
Roughly 0.5–2.5%. Zero means the page isn’t really about your keyword; over ~3% reads as keyword stuffing and can hurt you. Write for the human first — the tool flags both extremes.
Why isn’t my page ranking even though it looks good?
Usually two reasons: weak on-page signals (keyword missing from the title or H1, thin meta) and content gaps — the pages outranking you simply cover more of what buyers want. The audit flags the first; the built-in AI fix-it prompt helps you close the second.
Does AI-written content hurt my SEO?
Not by itself. Google penalizes thin, mass-produced filler — not AI-assisted content that’s genuinely helpful and edited by a real maker. Put your real experience in. See is a maker coach worth it for the human-first approach.
How is this different from the big paid SEO tools?
Paid tools hand you data to interpret. This gives makers the answer — a prioritized "fix these first" list in plain language, no jargon, no spreadsheet. For the full system (prompts, templates, live calls, community) there’s the Maker Growth Hub.

Members get the full marketing audit

This free tool checks one page's on-page SEO. The Maker Growth Hub'smarketing audit reviews your whole shop the way a strategist would — through three lenses: marketing strategy, UX hierarchy, and sales psychology. Constructive and specific, with before/after copy rewrites and a graded, share-ready report.

What it looks at, top to bottom:

And the buyer psychology it reads for — applied, never lectured: loss aversion(the cost of inaction made visible), social proof, authority & source credibility(the maker is the brand — their absence reads suspicious), reciprocity, scarcity, commitment & consistency (does the hero's promise match what the site delivers?), and offer architecture (is a $27 product quietly leaving the whole backend on the table?).
