The tools are not fourteen separate utilities that happen to sit on one page — they read and write the same shop profile and the same product records. You are never looking for the right tool, and you are never typing your bed size in for the fourth time.

Drop in the cut file and it is measured, priced and remembered. The nester, the pricing and the planner all pull the same record, so they cannot disagree.

No. Every tool here runs locally in your browser — your SVG never leaves your machine. That means it also works offline once the page has loaded, and there is nothing for us to store, leak, or train on.
Any machine that takes an SVG — Glowforge, xTool, OMTech, Thunder, Boss, Full Spectrum, plus Cricut and Silhouette for the file tools. Exports use the standard convention: RED cuts, BLUE scores, BLACK engraves, sized in real inches so nothing arrives at the wrong scale.
The things that waste a sheet: cut paths that do not quite close, duplicate shapes stacked on top of each other (which cut the same line twice), text that was never converted to outlines, embedded raster images, zero-length stray objects, hairline-vs-thick stroke problems, and colours outside the usual laser set. It scores the file out of 100 and fixes the safe issues in place.
Both halves of every seam come from one shared profile, so they mate exactly. Kerf is then applied to the geometry rather than by nudging the line — the tab gets wider and the socket gets shallower — so after the beam takes its half-kerf from each face, the pieces press together. Set your kerf (usually 0.006–0.012 in), test one seam on scrap, and adjust.
Two reasons, both deliberate. Most calculators multiply cost by 1 + margin, which is a markup, not a margin — a "60% margin" that way is really 37.5%. This one solves for true margin. It also treats design time as a one-off spread across the batch you expect to sell, instead of charging every single unit for it.
Treat them as a starting point, never a recipe. Tube age, lens, air assist, focus and the specific sheet in front of you all move the numbers. That is exactly why the tool lets you log your own tested settings next to the reference ones and export them as CSV.
Usually the original file never declared a physical size, so software falls back to a guess at 96 dpi. The File Checker flags that, and the Resizer stamps a real inch measurement onto the file. Always confirm the size in your laser software before you cut.
