Work back from the printed size, not the pixel count. 300 dpi at the size it will actually print is the working target: a decal printing at 4 in wide wants around 1200 px across. A 1200 px file printing at 10 in is 120 dpi and will look soft no matter how large the number sounded.
Usually colour mode. Screens are RGB and additive, ink is subtractive, and saturated RGB blues, greens and oranges sit outside what the printer can physically mix. This tool flags colours at risk rather than showing you a fake proof, because an accurate proof needs your printer profile and a calibrated screen.
Strokes and gaps below roughly 0.02 in tend not to survive the transfer, and thin light-on-dark detail goes first. The checker erodes your artwork to find the parts that fall below that threshold, so you can thicken them before printing rather than after.
Deliberately not. Ink use depends on your printer, profile, white underbase settings and pass count, none of which a browser can see. A confident number here would be a made-up one, so it reports coverage instead and leaves the costing to the pricing calculator.
