Free maker tool
A tapered cup does not unroll into a rectangle. Print the shape it really unrolls to and the wrap goes on flat.

How it works
A tapered tumbler is part of a cone, and a cone does not unroll into a rectangle, it unrolls into a curved band. Measure the cup and this tool gives you that exact band, with your art already curved into it at print resolution. Print it as a UV DTF wrap or a decal and it lies flat all the way round.
Why it is built this way
Questions
Because a tapered tumbler is part of a cone, and the side of a cone unrolls into a curved band, not a rectangle. A straight wrap is the right length at one height only: it gapes at the wide end or overlaps at the narrow end, and the design leans as it goes round. Printing the art already curved into the band fixes all three.
Measure across the cup (or a tape round it) at the top and at the bottom of where the print will go, and the height between those two lines, straight up the cup rather than along its side. Measure inside any curve near the lip or the base: that is where wraps wrinkle.
The tool tells you: about the average circumference by the height along the side, less any handle zone. Design the art as a plain rectangle at that size and the tool curves it to the cup.
Yes. Give the same size top and bottom and you get the plain rectangle, circumference by height. Tick the handle option and the art stays clear of the handle, with the seam in the middle of that zone.
