How it works

Personalized Name Batch Maker for Laser and UV, step by step

It takes your list of names, from a paste, a spreadsheet or Etsy's order export, and draws every one into a finished file. Each name is fitted onto its ornament, keychain tag or name cut-out as large as it will go, split onto two lines when that reads bigger, and laid out on laser sheets or in the pockets of a UV printer jig. A packing list says which piece belongs to which order.

  1. Bring the ordersPaste names, upload a spreadsheet, or drop in Etsy's order export. The personalization and quantities are read for you.
  2. Choose the pieceAn ornament, tag, circle or rectangle at your size, or a name cut-out whose outline follows the lettering.
  3. Pick the letteringSixteen open-licensed script and print fonts, or your own font file.
  4. Download and runLaser sheets with the names as real outlines, or a UV printer project for each jig load.

Questions

Personalized Name Batch Maker for Laser and UV — common questions

How do I batch personalized names for my laser?

Paste the names, or upload your order spreadsheet, choose the piece (an ornament, tag, circle, rectangle or a name cut-out) and a font. Every name is fitted to its piece, as large as it will go, and laid out on sheets the size of your bed. The names are already drawn in as outlines, so there is no variable text to set up in LightBurn or xTool, and a packing list says which piece is whose.

Can it read my Etsy orders?

Yes. Download your orders as a CSV from Etsy and drop the file in. It finds the personalization each buyer typed, keeps a line break as a second line, turns a quantity of two into two pieces, and puts the order number and buyer on the packing list. Order lines with no personalization are left out.

Can it make name cut-outs, like keychains and cake toppers?

Yes. Choose the name cut-out shape and the outline follows the lettering with a border, with an optional hanging loop at the start of the name or on top. Script fonts join on their own; with a print font the border joins the letters, and it warns you if a name would cut into separate pieces.

Does it work for UV printing?

Yes. Pick your printer bed and the names go into the pockets of a jig, one print per blank, in your lettering color, over an optional design. You get a ready eufyMake E1 or xTool O1 project for each jig load, or a 300 dpi layout for any other printer, plus the jig cut file.

Can I UV print names onto laser-cut pieces?

Yes, with "Cut, then print in place". The laser cuts every piece (ornaments, tags, name cut-outs) from a blank sheet with tiny tabs holding them in, and cuts the sheet edge exact. Put the sheet on the UV printer against the bed corner and each name prints on its own piece, ready for the eufyMake E1 or xTool O1. No jig, no camera.

Which fonts can I use?

Sixteen open-licensed script and print fonts that are fine for products you sell, or upload your own TTF, OTF or WOFF font. Use a font your license lets you sell products with.
